Happy Earth Day!

My boys and I decided to make some Earth Day cookies today-they're a little more "homemade" than other things you'll find here.  But I thought they turned out cute, so I wanted to share :)

Caught him....

I was recently able to sneak a couple pictures of this guy....

Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting

Sugar cookie ears with royal icing & royal icing accents on bunny
...he quickly hopped away though.  He must be trying to get a head start on hiding all those eggs!

Thank you to Callye over at The Sweet Adventures of Sugarbelle for this fantastic idea!  She is the queen of royal icing-I've learned a lot just reading on her blog!!

Wedding Cake!!!!

Well, the mini version anyway!

Shannon recently asked me to come up with something for a wedding shower she was hosting.  I found some pictures online and she thought the cakes would be the perfect fit!

Jeremiah was in a car accident recently.  To help him feel better he received two new cars! ;)

The Fruit of the Spirit is...

is definitely not strawberries.  But what a cute idea Emily came to me with!

Brookside Church always holds a spring women's event.  At this event, table sponsors decorate their individual tables in such creative and unique ways.

Emily was inspired by a cloth napkin she found with fruit on it.  Fruit; Fruit of the Spirit; see the connection?

Here is what Emily's idea led to!

Vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream frosting.   Leaves & stem are marshmallow fondant.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."
Galatians 5:22-23

Chi Omega Fundraiser

Recently a representative from Chi Omega at University of Nebraska Omaha contacted me to see if I'd be able to help provide cupcakes for their upcoming charity fundraiser.  What a blessing!

Chi Omega was able to raise $2,500 for Make a Wish Foundation!  Woohoo!!  What a blessing to the kids who will get to make their wish!

The picture I took isn't the best-sorry!

Happy Birthday Abby!

Abby recently celebrated a birthday!  Her Mama asked me if I'd make cuppy cakes topped with cake pops; Angry Birds style!

Honestly, I was a bit nervous to take on this wonderful project.  I know *nothing* of Angry Birds!  Apparently I'm behind on the times ;)

Thank the Lord for the internet and detailed pictures of the Angry Birds game!!!  They sure came to the rescue when it came to the birds and their details!

I'm pretty proud of these!  I think they turned out great and so did Abby's Mama!  From the pictures of Abby's birthday I've seen, it looks like the cuppy cakes and cake pops fit right in!

Enjoy!!

Rhythm!!

A while back, Kelly from Eagle's Nest Worship Center contacted me about providing dessert for their upcoming women's conference.  I was delighted!

Kelly and Pastor Hart asked me to create cake pops, brownie pops and cheesecake pops in the shape of balls of yarn as well as designed with some of the patterns on their invitation!

I had a great time creating for this special event!

Happy 7th Birthday Olivia!

I was asked to make a bed cake for a sweet girl turning 7.  Olivia was planning her first sleepover for her 7th birthday party.  Her mom asked if I could make a cake into a bed.

It was fun personalizing the cake for the 2 blondes, 4 brunettes and 1 red-head that were there!

Happy Baby Shower Nicole!

A dear friend is having a baby!  I just love babies!  So naturally, when she invited me to her baby shower, I asked what treats I could bring.  These sugar cookies went along great with the other treats people brought.
